Finally out of the timeshare trap....

Great day to blog...so I woke up this morning and finally after almost 3 months of waiting my check was in the mail...So after 2 years of trying to sell my timeshare in Orlando it's finally gone, that's right, it's finally gone...Just like a lot of you out there I was enticed into some free Disney tickets but all I had to do was sit through a 90 minute presentation and just like that I bought a Wyndham timeshare that I did not need...so after using it once in 4 years I decided I wanted out of the trap of paying maintenance fees on something I wasn't using...So yes to start off I paid over 3 companies to just advertise and of course that went absolutely nowhere.  So after almost giving up and finally calling it quits, I decided to look into giving it away, I couldn't even do that.  After some time passed by I had a company call me out of Wilmington, Delaware known as Vacation Property Management Services, they came at me in a totally different manner as they weren't looking to advertise it but instead actually had some interested buyers, after negotiating a price that I was comfortable letting it go for, we started the process....I was a little worried about paying anything upfront mostly due to the listing companies that I felt took advantage of me in the past, but I was assured that what I was covering was to take care of the complete transfer of the property...the buyer had to put down a deposit for the closing and all I covered was the 1748.00 for the transfer of the property...Now here I am 3 months later and I am finally going to enjoy the fruition of all of my efforts in getting rid of this thing...Now just so everyone knows, I didn't get exactly what I paid for the Wyndham but damn, I'm happy to be out of the timeshare trap....a big thanks to Vacation Property Management Services...
